AIMEE DOUBLEDAY

Coach and Co-Owner of CrossFit Oddity

Aimee entered the world of CrossFit in 2017 with minimal experience in the fitness realm beforehand. She fell in love with the sport after seeing firsthand how her physical and mental health improved drastically in a few short weeks. She received her CrossFit Level 1 Certificate in July 2022 and her USAW Level 1 Certificate in February 2024. When offered the chance to become co-owner in March 2024, she said yes without hesitation. Investing in the place that improved her quality of life and help others do the same is important to her.

Her favorite workouts are Hero WODs as they are meaningful and go beyond showcasing fitness. Outside of CrossFit, her hobbies include keeping up with her chaos crew of 3 children, spending time with friends, reading books, and going to concerts of all genres.

Brad Henley

Coach at CrossFit Oddity

Brad is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and a full-time engineer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Brad enjoys bass fishing, basketball, and classic cars. He was introduced to CrossFit by a friend who invited him to a WOD at a RV storage facility, which later became CrossFit Oddity (Nomad at that time). He has a passion for coaching and building relationships with his clients.

“I thought I was in shape prior to beginning CrossFit, but with Filthy 50 being my first WOD I learned differently. I was destroyed after this workout, but immediately knew this was the start of a new fitness journey. This was seven years ago and my passion for the community has only grown, which inspired me to obtain my CrossFit Level 1 certification this past fall. I have the privilege of working with some amazing people that push me equally as hard as I push them. The long-term health benefits, accountability, and lifelong relationships have forever changed my life.”

Terrence Go

Coach at CrossFit Oddity

Terrence was born in the Philippines, and moved to Madison, Alabama in 2002. He has been working full time as an emergency room nurse practitioner for the last 10 years. Terrence has always had a passion for health and wellness working in the medical field. He enjoys the technical aspect of fitness very much, and loves his workout shoes! His goal as a coach, and a nurse practitioner is to help people improve and maintain their health, wellness, and fitness throughout their lifetime

Ben Stevenson

Coach at CrossFit Oddity

Ben has been doing crossfit since 2014 and he received his L1 certificate in 2016. You won’t see much of him unless you are an early riser, as he is one of our 5:30am coaches. For his day job, Ben is a government teacher and head baseball coach at Sparkman High School. In any free time he enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his wife and two kids. During school breaks you might find his oldest, Billy Mac, coming in to Oddity to get a workout in with Dad.

Billy Manley

Coach at CrossFit Oddity

Billy is a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer who has been a full-time coach since 2013. He is also a level 2 practitoner in Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR) which optimizes the nervous system for athletic performance.

Billy is an easy-going, dedicated coach who enjoys celebrating his athlete’s achiements over his own. His genuine love for health, fitness, and people drives his passion for coaching.

JAMES NEAL

Coach at CrossFit Oddity

James Neal has been doing CrossFit for four years. He holds a CrossFit Level 1 Certification and has been coaching for CrossFit Oddity since March of 2022. Some of his hobbies include multi media/ stop motion and drawing. Prior to CrossFit he was a martial artist specifically in karate for 14.5 years and held a brown and black belt status. He has always enjoyed intense activities and exercise. He was introduced to CrossFit through his cousin in 2018 and loved it ever since. What attracted him to CrossFit was the intensity of the workout and how each WOD gave him a challenge to overcome. Some of his favorite workouts include Cindy, Karen, Randy, and Glenn. His overall favorite aspect of CrossFit Oddity, though, is the community. He says, “Here it’s about having fun, exercising, and helping each other out, and I would encourage any newcomers to come by and pay a visit!”

JESSICA KIJOWSKI

Coach at CrossFit Oddity

Coach Jess is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD) with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Nutrition. Before coaching CrossFit, she served as an RD in the Army Medical Specialist Corps for 6 years. She found CrossFit in 2016 and has loved the sport ever since. She holds both CF-L1 and USAW-L1 trainer certificates. Her favorite workouts are long grinds such as Hero WODs. She loves how strong and empowered a great workout can make you feel! ALEX KIJOWSKI

Coach at CrossFit Oddity

Alex has been doing CrossFit for 10 years and holds CF Level 1 and USAW Level 1 certificates.  When at the gym you may see him flailing about on the rig or snatching kettlebells for fun.  When not at the gym you can find him crashing drones around the world in the name of freedom, or roaming around town with his lovely wife and rambunctious child.

Amy Grano

Coach at CrossFit Oddity

Amy is a Crossfit Level 2 as well as USAW level 1 certified trainer. She holds a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, as well as her project management professional (PMP) certification. Amy is a full-time program manager, as well as single mom to a teenage boy. She is a tattoo addict, lover of lifting all things heavy, and travel fanatic. Amy started coaching in 2021. Her favorite part of coaching is watching people achieve things they never thought were possible, whether it be a new PR or jumping on a box for the first time.

Kodi Lovelace

Coach at CrossFit Oddity

Level 3 Certified CrossFit Trainer, with over a decade of coaching experience and thousands of hours on the floor, I ask these of each athlete in the classes I coach:

Be safe and consistent. This applies to yourself and others around you. I want you to be healthy and able to show up as much as possible.
Challenge yourself. Staying in your comfort zone nets you no growth. Be willing to try something new or difficult. The obstacle is the way.
Be coachable. Take feedback and try your best to implement it. Coaches are there to help you be the best version of yourself.
Ask questions. If you don’t understand something, ask for clarification. The more you understand, the more coachable you can be.
Have fun. Because if it doesn’t bring you some kind of joy, why do it? The best part of CrossFit is getting to do this alongside others, make jokes, laugh, sweat, and end each class with a high five or fist bump to somebody else.
