About Refine Physical Therapy

Refine uses a unique blend of expert physical therapy care and advanced strength and conditioning practices in order to ensure our patients get out of pain and are able to return to the activities they love stronger and more resilient than they have ever been. You will spend each appointment working for a full hour, one-on-one with a doctor of physical therapy. You will be scheduled with the same therapist each session in order to maintain consistency of care.

 

Blake Thomas PT, DPT, CMPT

Blake was born and raised in Section, Alabama, a small town in the northeast corner of the state. He graduated from Section High School in 2011. During his time in high school, Blake played baseball, football, basketball, and track and field. he was named captain of the football team his junior and senior year.

After graduating high school, Blake received a scholarship to Troy University, where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science in 2015. After graduating from Troy, Blake attended physical therapy school at Samford University and was a member of their inaugural class.

Since graduating with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2018, Blake has undergone extensive training in manual therapy and received his CMPT from the North American Institute or Orthopedic Manual Therapy in 2020. Through this certification, Blake has developed an expertise in treating complex spinal pain and dysfunction. Blake has also had advanced training in dry needling, blood flow restriction training, and the clinical management of CrossFit athletes.

Blake has a passion for health and wellness and is committed to helping his patients become stronger, more resilient human beings. Blake’s hobbies outside of work include: hiking, camping, exercising, reading and being active in his church. Blake lives in Huntsville with his wife, Brianna, and his children, Caroline and Camp.
